If you're still working ACE opportunities and Marketplace listings in the legacy Partner Central portal, that experience is being consolidated into the AWS Management Console this month.
The changes:
- One spot for everything. Partner Central and the AWS Marketplace Management Portal come together in the Console. No more bouncing between portals to move an opportunity and manage the listing behind it.
- IAM replaces the old login. Users authenticate through your linked AWS account. That means real role-based permissions and SSO instead of a separate set of portal credentials. It’s critical because it means someone has to map your existing Partner Central users to the right IAM policies before they lose access.
- APIs you can actually build on. The new experience exposes APIs for co-sell and Marketplace operations. This is the part most partners miss: opportunity sync, deal progression, and CRM enrichment stop being manual work.
Don’t wait! Migration requires a linked AWS account and a user-to-policy mapping done in advance. If the person who owns the account you need to link is on vacation, you’ll have a problem. The migration itself runs 2-6 hours and AWS recommends off-hours. Give yourself a runway.
Do this now: pull your current Partner Central user list, decide who needs what level of access, confirm which AWS account will be your primary APN account, and schedule the migration.
